Half Day Program Descriptions
Program time for all Half Day Sessions is 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. Extended Care (a.m. only) with prior sign up - drop off as early as 8:00 am. Choose from the half day programs below:

Session 1
Jammin' in the Jungle (ages 4-5)
Explore some of the world’s most unusual and lively places, without ever leaving the Maryland Science Center! Crawl through the leaves, bounce between the trees, and tour the airy canopies, while meeting some new jungle friends along the way.
Session 2
Wonder Works (ages 4-5)
Wheels and axles, pulleys, and levers are all around us. Build and use simple machines to find out how they make work so easy.
Session 3
Seussical Science (ages 4-5)
Discover the science and nonsense behind the wild world of Dr. Seuss! Green eggs, cats in hats, red fish and blue fish, Truffula trees and Oobleck will all make an appearance on a journey with one of our favorite authors.
Session 4
3-2-1 Blastoff! (ages 4-5)
Put on your flight suit and space boots and find out what’s going on up there in outer space. Get messy with our space slime, roam the moon to learn about its surface, and conduct experiments about gravity.
Session 5
Dinosaurs Rock (ages 4-5)
Meat eaters and plant eaters are welcome as you explore all things dinosaur, from the very tallest to the smallest.
