Santa vs. The Snowman at the Maryland Science Center Beginning Friday, November 18, 2005, audiences can witness a humorous clash of holiday heavyweights as Santa vs. The Snowman, a 32-minute animated feature, begins its run in the St. John Properties IMAX Theater. The film will be shown daily through December. Santa vs. The Snowman follows a lonely snowman on his quest for friendship. He discovers Santa’s village and becomes mesmerized by the all-night happiness that goes on as the elves make toys in the woodshop. The snowman devises a plan to take over Santa’s job in order to earn the entire world’s love. He raises an army of snow minions to do battle with Santa and his elves; a hilarious polar feud ensues with giant igloo robot walkers and hot chocolate squirt guns. In the end, the combatants become friends. Santa vs. The Snowman will be shown daily at the Maryland Science Center. Admission for the film may be purchased as part of the admission to the Maryland Science Center, or separately only after 4:00 pm.
