Don't Burst Their Bubble! Bubble Days are Here..

The Maryland Science Center will be bursting with excitement on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 14 through 16, 2006, when it celebrates grand globules of floating foam during Bubble Days. The three-day celebration will feature effervescent events like a big bubble blowing contest, and performances of "Bubblemania" by comic and bubble-artist Casey Carle.

Visitors can bounce by the Big Bubble Blowing Contest throughout the day on all three days on the Inner Harbor Promenade to compete to see who can blow Baltimore's best bubble.

"Bubblemania," a show performed by world bubble champion Casey Carle includes balancing bubbles, bubble hats, bubble jewelry, square bubbles, and bubbles by request as Carle takes cues from the audience to blow bubbles with everything from shoes to stuffed animals and food items. Carle will perform "Bubblemania" at noon, 2:00 and 4:00 pm on each day.

The Maryland Science Center is located at 601 Light Street at Baltimore's Inner Harbor. For information and tickets, visit www.marylandsciencecenter.org or call the 24-Hour Information Line at 410-685-5225.

The Maryland Science Center stimulates and cultivates awareness, interest and understanding of science through exciting interactive experiences and educational programming. More than 500,000 people visit the Inner Harbor location each year, where they learn about the Earth and the environment and are awed by 12 life-size dinosaurs in Dinosaur Mysteries, explore a day in the life of the human body in Your Body: The Inside Story, experiment with dozens of interactive activities in Newton's Alley, thrill to adventure in the five-story St. John Properties IMAX Theater, travel through space in the Davis Planetarium, and engage younger children in the Kids Room. The Maryland Science Center reaches an additional 100,000 Maryland residents each year with its interactive programs delivered at schools, community centers, and public events.
