Roar: Lions of Kalahari

Roar: Lions of the Kalahari tells the story of lions living near an African water hole teeming with wildlife.
When a young lion tries to dethrone the lion king, the elder lion wages the battle of his life to defend his home and offspring in Botswana. These dramatic images make Roar an unforgettable giant-screen movie experience.
Interesting Facts:
- An inexperienced young lioness tries her luck with a giraffe. Lions can run at a top speed of 36 miles an hour but not for very long. A giraffe can run as fast as 35 miles an hour over short distances. (Top picture to the right)
- A lion’s roar at close range can shake a Land Rover on its springs, and the sound can carry for 5 miles.
- A typical meal for an adult male lion is 15 pounds of meat, though lions can consume as much as 60 pounds at a sitting.
