ANNUAL GIVING MANAGER
The Maryland Science Center seeks and experienced Annual Giving manager to play a key role in the Annual Giving Program. The Annual Giving Manager's primary responsibility is the strategic execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program, including the coordination and oversight of supporting initiatives in the areas of development services and donor relations. The primary duties include administration and overseeing of multiple direct mail projects, gift reporting, prospect identification, cultivation, acknowledgement and tracking, solicitation and donor recognition, as well as statistical reporting and analysis, mailing list management, and donor/prospect research. Position requires excellent organization skills with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and a variety of demands, and an advance ed working knowledge of Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge for Windows. Bachelor's degree required with at least three to five years of experience in annual fund, direct mail and managing a complex database. Outstanding opportunity for an informal educator to present programming for visiting school groups, Homeschool programs, Camp MSC, and new programs for a wide range of audiences. Duties include developing new programming concepts and programs; training Camp MSC staff and assisting with Camp MSC functions; maintaining supplies, equipment, and teaching spaces; research, investigate, and obtain sources of sponsorship funding; performing animal care and maintenance. HOUSEKEEPERS
Full time positions available in the Facilities Department for (2) Housekeepers to perform various custodial duties which include cleaning restrooms and exhibits, trash removal, floor care and any other duties as assigned by supervisor. Positions require high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to pass a criminal background check. Other requirements include ability to lift heavy objects, handle chemical cleaning solutions and work around crowds, good communication skills and a friendly and helpful attitude. Fun, energetic individual needed to present traveling science programs to educational groups in MD and surrounding states (mid-Atlantic). BODYLINK STAFF
Work with science museum visitors and school groups on programs and exhibits related to health and the human body. Interact with visitors in new, highly interactive human body exhibit hall; develop hands-on activities and informal demonstrations; assist visitors with hands-on lab experiences. This position requires a strong interest in the human biology and enthusiasm for working with the public. Other requirements include a minimum 1 year of college or 1-2 years in an educational role. Ideal for a college or graduate student. Weekend work is required. $8.50 per hour. IMAX THEATER USHER
Demonstrate excellent customer service to all guests and staff; assist guests entering and exiting the theater; maintain cleanliness of the theater; cross-train into different areas; take tickets; make announcements as necessary. Requires HS diploma or equivalent; excellent customer service, communication skills and interpersonal skills; composure in front of an audience and the ability to work scheduled hours. Schedule includes nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.

Work with school groups and visitors to assist in their use of the Kids Room; conduct activities to enhance the experience provided by the exhibits; support the daily operation of the space. Requires HS diploma with at least 1 year progress toward undergraduate degree; experience with young children under the age of 8 and matching expectations to their development in a group setting. Must be able to work weekends. Flexible schedules. Ideal for Early Childhood majors. $8.50 per hour. Enthusiastic quick learner needed to operate shows under the stars in the Davis Planetarium.
